Kassandra
Polichrono Kassandra
One of the most famous places in Halkidiki that attracts thousands of visitors every year. It is known for the long beach, located along the settlement.
The history of Polychrono begins in 650 BC, when Eretrius came to the peninsula of Kassandra and founded their colony in Naples, which despite the barbaric invasions managed to survive until 540 AD, when it was completely destroyed by Huns.
In the 11th century, cattle breeders and farmers gathered in this area and built the village "Polyro", which was named after the large number of flowers that the area had.
